20th Birthday Party

Late in 2011, Eclipse Chamber Orchestra celebrated the start of its 20th anniversary season with a 20th birthday party in a lovely home in Northern Virginia. The orchestra's wish was to say thank-you to its many supporters with a unique celebration. So, in addition to a sumptuous meal, members of the orchestra, placed throughout the spacious home, were grouped in small ensembles playing some of their favorite chamber selections.

More than that, supporters who also are amateur musicians were allowed to join the fun by playing along with Eclipse members. Several supporters brought their instruments and music and were joined by orchestra members in spirited ensembles, making the party an interactive experience. 



For Eclipse it was a gala 20th birthday celebration. For supporters who got to play with Eclipse, it was a musical moment not soon forgotten.
