ECO in performance, Feb 2012 (photo: David Moss)For its 21st subscription season of world-class performances, Eclipse Chamber Orchestra offered audiences an eclectic pastiche of music, from Bach and Mozart to Aaron Copland, Richard Strauss and Maurice Ravel.
Once again the critically acclaimed ensemble composed of musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra played its subscription season at the George Washington Masonic Temple in Old Town Alexandria, VA, one of the D.C. area's most intimate concert venues. The orchestra and its board of directors were pleased to welcome our audience to our third decade of musicmaking in the nation's capital.

FREE CONCERT FOR CHILDREN
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2012
1pm - 2 pm
Eclipse Chamber Orchestra is pleased to present a free concert at the George Washington Masonic Memorial, featuring a short program designed for young children (and their parents). The featured music will be Copland's Appalachian Spring. But instead of the usual Appalachian Spring, we will have a special narration by young Cecily Adkins Newman, the daughter of Eclipse concertmaster Elisabeth Adkins and former board member Ed Newman. The narration was written by our conductor, David Teie.
